Prof. Fouda is currently the Professor of Pediatrics and Head of Pediatric Pulmonology Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University and the Head of Educational Quality Team of Postgraduate Teaching Program also at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
Prof. Fouda obtained her medical degree in 1986, before completing a Masters in Pediatrics and a doctoral degree in the same topic all from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Prof. Fouda has held several positions in the pediatric department of Ain Shams University, from House Officer, Resident and Assistant Lecturer to Assistant Professor and Professor since 2008.
Prof. Fouda is a Member of the European Respiratory Society and a Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of several national societies including the Egyptian Society of Pediatric Cardiac Diseases and Ain Shams Egyptian Pediatric Society. Additionally, she holds the position of Vice President of Ain Shams Pediatric Respiratory Society. She is a member of National Pediatric Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee and Asthma and bronchiolitis Guideline Adaptation Group.
Prof. Fouda has published approximately 50 articles in national and international journals on the topic of respiratory medicine in pediatrics.
